Dr. Kristen Bortolin is a fellow in the Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Training Program at the Hospital for Sick Children, and a student in the IMS Master’s Program and in the Clinician Investigator Program at the University of Toronto. She completed her paediatric residency at Western University in 2019.
Dr. Bortolin works in the EoE Clinic at SickKids with Dr. Hulst and Dr. Marcon. They have an ongoing EoE-Registry of about 150 patients. Her research aim is using less invasive testing to monitor paediatric patients with eosinophilic esophagitis and optimizing treatment by implementing pharmacogenetic testing in patients using proton-pump-inhibitors for their disease control.
